Queso Mexicano & Avocado Salad

This crispy Queso Mexicano salad combines crunchy lettuce, creamy avocado, crispy croutons, and golden pan-seared Queso Mexicano for a satisfying mix of textures. Topped with some and a tangy herb dressing and fresh chopped herbs, it’s a refreshing, flavour-packed dish that’s perfect for lunch or a light dinner. Simple to make, but seriously delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green leaf lettuce
  • Queso Mexicano, cut into cubes
  • ¼ avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup croutons
  • 1 tsp fresh herbs, chopped
  • 2 tbsp herb dressing

Preparation

  • Pan-Sear the Queso Mexicano:
    • Heat a small skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the Queso Mexicano cubes and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and slightly crispy.
    • Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Prepare the Salad Base:
    • In a large bowl or serving plate, spread out the butter leaf lettuce.
    • Arrange the sliced avocado evenly over the greens.
  • Add the Crunch & Cheese:
    • Sprinkle croutons and add the warm, seared Queso Mexicano cubes.
  • Finish with Flavor:
    • Drizzle the herby dressing generously over the salad.
    • Top with chopped fresh herbs for a burst of freshness.
  • Serve Immediately:
