The cheese is perfect in the fresh milk taste, in the texture, in the amount of salt, in fact it’s perfect in every way! It’s the one that came closest to the flavor of the fresh milk cheeses made in State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Thank you so much for the beautiful message. We’re thrilled to hear our cheese brings back memories of the fresh milk cheeses from Minas Gerais. That’s the highest compliment we could ask for.
I love this cheese. I drop a spoon full with my fruit and it is perfecto
Thank you for sharing! We love hearing how you enjoy our cheese — pairing it with fruit sounds perfecto!
So glad I found this. Had it at a local Portuguese club south of Windsor. The cow is my favorite but when I want less salt I go with the sheep. Can't wait to get more. Thanks for the excellent product.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We’re thrilled to hear St. John's has become your new favorite. It’s wonderful that you’ve been able to enjoy both the cow and sheep versions — each with their own unique touch. We look forward to providing you with more handcrafted, all-natural cheese soon!
I think that because most of your products are renet free, I am not expert in this but think that it might be very easy, to get kosher certification so that a wider variety people from more different countries who do observe keeping kosher would be able to purchase your rennet free cheeses. It is a fantastic thing if that would happen. There are a few kosher certification bodies who do that such as COR, MK kosher, OK kosher, OU kosher and others. I am familiar with your cheese and think it would be a big hit in the kosher side.
In Brazil, the Portuguese from cow cheese is used as a stuffing in a large square egg roll.
Please make this cheese without salt if the people want salt they can add it I have high blood pressure and can no longer buy your cheese with salt please make your cheese with out salt pleeeeease so I can continue to buy it thank you Grace Presta
We appreciate your comment/suggestion however given that our products are all natural with no preservatives - salt serves as our only shelf life stabilizer.
It’s the trade off to making authentic, traditional cheeses that have been made this way for centuries. Nevertheless, we'll take your suggestion into consideration as we strive to meet the needs of all our customers. Thank you for reaching out, and we hope to continue serving you in the future.
